The biggest entry we had for a regatta was in the sailboard times, at 65 vessels
and we also sailed regattas at Shashe Dam near Francistown

The 1982-3 drought dropped the dam very low
The first raising of the access road to the new club premises about 1989. The club was relocated when the wall was raised, to a position which was always likely to have access to the water, but for some years had no road access to the club when the dam enthusiastically filled to the new top level several times.
