Beat together butter, sugar. egg yolks and essences until light and fluffy. Add flour and nuts and mix gently with your hands. Divide dough in two and turn on to a lightiy floured surface. Make each half into a roll, about 40 cm long and cut each roll into 2 to 3-cm pieces. Press a whole clove into each piece. Place on ungreased baking sheets and bake at 180 deg C for about 20 minutes until cooked but not browned. Sprinkle with icing sugar while still warm and cool on a wire rack. Sprinkle again with icing sugar just before serving", comment="Kourabedes.
