140 g Sesame seeds | Makes half a cup of tahina |
3 tbsp Oil (neutral flavour) | 2-4 tbsp, and maybe 1-2 more if needed to pour |
1 Pinch of salt (optional) | Tastes better |
Dry-fry sesame seeds to golden and aromatic (~5 minutes) watching all the time to avoid burning. Add a little salt to taste. Put in food processor when cooled and grind until smooth, starting to add neutral oil. Scrape off sides of processor. If not pourable, add more oil. Pleace in closed jar and (hot countries) refrigerate. | |
