Sauce ketjap

Serves 6

Ingredients

3 OnionsFinely sliced
3 cloves garlicCrushed
3 tbsp butter
250 ml chicken stock
75 ml ketjap
1 tbsp cornflour
Salt
Black pepperFreshly ground
Sambal to taste

Method

Sauté onions and garlic in butter until tender. Add stock and ketjap, simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Make cornflour into a paste with a little water and stir into sauce. Bring to the boil stirring constantly. Add seasoning & sambals to taste.
