Roast a chicken or fry chicken pieces. Cook 2 cups savoury rice. In the pan, fry onion and make it a thinnish white sauce, using a bit of fat from cooking the chicken, plus flour and evaporated milk. (If not enough to cover chicken, add a little more milk). Some chicken stock cube or powder adds to the flavour. Add some grated onoin. Add mushrooms. Start with cooked rice, then put chicken in the casserole dish, adding peanuts and peas as you go. Cover with the sauce and bake in oven. | |
