- The Teresa Carreño Cultural complex is one of the most important Caracas architectural landmarks built in the last century. Jesús Sandoval, Tomás Lugo Marcano and Dietrich Kunckel were the architects who designed the complex after winning a competition sponsored by the City to select the best design.

- It is located next to Los Caobos Park and surrounded by the Museum of Fine arts, the National Art Gallery, the Museum of Sciences and the Ateneo, all within walking distance and very near to Caracas largest office and residential compound: Parque Central Towers
- From the urban point of view the complex is fully embedded to the surroundings city parks and avenues.
