• The Museum was declared “Historical National Monument” on April 15th 1994, and is currently the site of the National Art Gallery.
• In the 1980´s a new building was added to hold the Fine Arts Museum Collection, which along with the Teresa Carreño and the Science Museum is the center of Caracas Cultural scene.
