- The theatre opened its doors on June 11th 1905 at the core of urban Caracas in those days- The site is 1.310 square meters, and it used to be a garden belonging to the extinct Washington Square.
- The theatre is a horse shoe shaped iron structure designed to endure earthquakes since Caracas is highly vulnerable to seismic movements.
- The main seating room is 15 meters wide and three floors high. The theater holds 797 seats.
- As it was customary in those days following the “European” fashion, the two main balconies and the main floor seating room are accessible through the main entrance, while the two secondary balconies and the third floor balcony are reached through a secondary door on the side road, in order to avoid “social mixing”.
