- The Fine Arts Museum founded in 1917 was the first institution in Venezuela created for the exhibition of Visual Arts but it was not until 1938 that an ad hoc building was constructed to hold its valuable art collection.
- The building-located in the middle of Los Caobos Park - was harmoniously assembled in a circular floor plan together with the Natural Science Museum building, the floor plan conveys a sense of radial symmetry with the two buildings converging at center square, at the street level, in tune with the urban renovation ideas that were taking place at the time of its design.
